Race Summary:
The #89 Playboy/Vonage/Palms Hotel Casino car qualified in 6th place, ran consistently in the top 10 and ran in the top three for several laps. The team also overcame a mid-race pit stop mishap, which necessitated an additional pit stop under green flag conditions. This did not stop our drivers from a front running effort. However, an electrical problem while running in 5th place (with just 10 laps to go) ended our charge to a certain podium finish. The struggling engine dropped us back to an 11th place finish. |

Race Summary:
The #19 Playboy/Uniden/Palms Hotel Casino car qualified in 3rd place and ended the weekend with a respectable 8th place finish. This car ran consistently in the top three for the majority of the event, in spite of the fact that the drivers were exposed to temperatures close to 200 degrees Fahrenheit in foot box area (near the pedals). Both drivers endured the heat and the pain caused from burns to their feet in order to drive the car during the entire two and a half hour event. Nevertheless, it was not the heat, or the pain which dropped us back from a definite podium finish. It was in fact the notorious driving tactics of # 10 Sun Trust driver Max Angelelli. Max was given a stop and go penalty and finished in 9th place just behind us. |

Race Summary:
The #89 Playboy/Vonage/Palms Hotel Casino car qualified in 10th place and ran in the top three in the pre-race practice session. In the race, the team ran consistently in the top 10 until the car tangled with the #10 Sun Trust car late in the race. This did not stop our driver from a front running effort. Within a few laps, after being passed by the whole filed and battling back from a questionable stop and go penalty, our car was running strongly again in eighth place. However, while passing for seventh place, the car crashed lightly in the turn one tire wall tangling yet again with the #10 Sun Trust car. The late race mishap dropped us back to a 16th place finish. |

Race Summary:
The #19 Playboy/Uniden/Palms Hotel Casino car qualified in 4th place. This car ran consistently in the top three for the majority of the pre-race sessions. However, a brake failure caused driver Memo Gidley to crash hard in the turn one tire wall in the final practice session. The car sustained massive damage and Memo suffered a fractured back. Nevertheless, the crew worked its magic and completely rebuilt the car from top to bottom within five and a half hours. With just seconds before the green flag, the team pushed the car to the starting grid and Alex Barron, who raced with the team at the Rolex Daytona 24 Hour race earlier this year, started the race. Unfortunately, mechanical gremlins which are typical in such a rebuild situation, plagued the team throughout the race. Although the car was quite fast, several unscheduled pit stops cost us several laps. The Playboy/Uniden/Palms Hotel Casino car finished 21st. Memo is doing well and is expected back in a couple of months. |

Race Summary:
The #6 Playboy/Mears/Palms team struggled with an ill handling car throughout the weekend and qualified 17th for the race, but started from the 14th position after several cars in front of it failed technical inspection. The team scrapped the entire setup after qualifying and started from scratch for the final practice session. The new setup worked and the #6 car was running relatively strong in the race (top 15), but was held up by Tommi Drissi (for several laps) who was blatantly blocking. In spite of multiple complaints by multiple entrants, there was no participation from the Grand Am officials. The #6 car spun while making an attempt to squeeze past the blocking Drissi, costing the team several positions. Nevertheless, the #6 Playboy/Palms car quickly rejoined the race and clicked off consistent lap times more than two seconds a lap quicker than when behind the Drissi car. The #6 Playboy/Palms car charged to the front and finished in 9th place.
